Conditions

Payment: Payment can be made in cash only before receiving the rental equipment. We have no facilities for card payment. Invoices can be sent out for group bookings for an additional fee of 15 CHF.

Rental Place: Pleas note – the address where you will get the equipment and the boat is: Schäbisstrasse 58 in 3613 Steffisburg – by the Regie bridge – right next tot he Aare river – please have a look at the plan. In Oberhofen you will only find our offices.

Parking: We do not provide any parking. There are few public parking spots around. We recommend public transport

Cancellation: The reservation of boats and equipment is a legally binding agreement. Cancellations or rebookings up to 24 hour before the day-of-use will result in a 30 CHF per boat administration fee. Cancellations must be made latest 24 hours before the booked time/date. A "no show" will automatically be considered and charged as a cancellation. Cancellation has to be by email only.

Water level: Should the water levels rise to 250 cubic metres/sec or higher, you are free to cancel the reservation (for groups with small children we advise such canceling). If the water level is above 265 cubic metres/sec we cancel all rentals for safety reasons and with no consequences. It is the duty of the renter to keep him/herself informed as to the water levels from the links provided on our website. Do not hesitate to contact us if you are unsure.

General Conditions: The renter understands that he/she uses the boat and equipment at his/her own risk. Aarebootsvermietung GmbH denies any liability whatsoever related to the use of its equipment. Furthermore, the renter is liable for the full cost of any loss or damage to the rental equipment or 3rd party property. This may include replacement, repair or loss of income due to damage or loss by The Renter. The Renter is responsible for being adequately insured.

Where equipment has not been picked up within 30 minutes of the pickup time, we reserve the right to charge 30.- CHF per started hour late pick-up fee. After 1 hour, it will be considered as a "No Show" and the reservation will be cancelled.

All rental equipment is to be returned to BERN EICHHOLZ (or any other pre-agreed location) the latest at 18:00, we reserve the right to charge an overtime fee of 50.- CHF per hour. Where the renter has landed the boat anywhere else than the agreed location, a 50.- CHF fee will be charged for the additional pickup.

Finally, any interpretation and/or enforcement of this agreement shall be in accordance with Swiss Law as enforced in Thun, Switzerland.
